FLORIDA EXOTIC BIRD SANCTUARY WAITING LIST

Birds that are on our waiting list to be placed in the Sanctuary are there because their owners have made a very tough but very unselfish decision that a Sanctuary setting would be the best possible solution for these birds. If you need help with placing your bird or would like your parrot to be a permanent resident at our Sanctuary please feel free to call or email us. Pat Norton @ 727-686-1844 or

F.E.B.S. is in need of  Donations to be able to build the new Habitat for these and other birds that are in need a permanent habitat solution, please help if at all possible.

Our goal for this summer is to build a smaller flight for the medium sized birds. It is almost completed. We are also building a 30x12 covered, wired house, for the new arrivals to get used to the Sanctuary in their own cages, and to be able to be housed outdoors but with all the amminities, we take this time to get to know their personality's to be able to better understand where and with whom they will best be placed. In this manner the Birds slowly get introduced to larger spaces and cages and interaction with one another in a safer way.

Thank you so much for looking into our site and for your interest in these wonderful beautiful creatures!

We have taken in all the birds on the waiting list. We were able to build some new cages and although they are not as large as the 750 Ft Flight, these birds are all here acclimating to outdoor life and eventually to a life in a large flight to go back to having the freedom to "just be a bird"!

We have also taken in two groups of birds, one from another Rescue that had to shut down in CA. and another group from a Humane Society in York, PA that were taken from a horrific situation. These birds are being quarantined and treated and put on a healthy diet with a fresh water supply available at all times, some have already shown signs of improvement and all have gone through blood testing to make sure no diseases are passed to the other birds once they are eventually moved into the main aviary's. The expense involved to ship all of these birds here and to accommodate them was shared by FEBS and by the rescues that took the time to save these birds from really bad situations. Our sincere THANK's go to all involved!!!! Pictures of these birds will be posted very soon.
